This six-module educational programme from Health Professionals for Safer Screens (HPFSS) provides healthcare professionals with an evidence-based understanding of how screen use, smartphones, social media, and digital content influence children’s and adolescents’ health and development.

The course explores the effects of screens on sleep, language and cognitive development, mental health, and neurodivergence, while highlighting practical assessment tools and intervention strategies that can be incorporated into routine clinical practice.

Participants will gain confidence in taking a targeted screen history, interpreting the emerging evidence base, and supporting children, young people, and families to develop healthier digital habits that promote wellbeing and healthy development.
